31 Jul How to hang your frames perfectly…
As a photographer I like nothing better than my clients taking away photos to hang on their walls. I would love to see even more of this in the future. After all digital files are not going to be seen when they are sitting in a drawer. I understand digital files are important for sharing with family and archival reasons but who doesn’t want to see their beautiful photos hanging in their home?
So you’ve chosen a group of images you’d like to hang together as a wall display but you’re wondering how on earth you are going to make sure they are all straight and hanging where they should be. I know exactly how you feel!
I found a wonderful solution in this video below by Country Road.
Firstly though you need to decide on what kind of layout you would like. Pinterest is a fantastic place for ideas. You can search “wall gallery ideas” or I have a few examples saved to my pinterest that you may like.
Choose the type of frames you would like (unless you have purchased ready framed prints). You may want an eclectic range of frames for something a bit different or a modern black or white.
Gather your tools ie. hammer, hooks and nails, a level and a pencil. The method shown in the video also requires brown paper, masking tape and scissors.
Go forth and hang your beautiful photos on the wall!

Posted at 11:19h, 31 JulyHanging pictures can be so daunting (hence the reason it took me almost three years to hang mine!) I’ve found that the Velcro-style 3M wall mounts are fantastic for hanging your framed prints – no need to put holes in the walls, easy to adjust or move if necessary and once they’re in place the frames don’t move, so you never need to fix frames that look crooked!

Posted at 11:35h, 31 JulyI get so nervous using the velcro style mounts for frames but it’s good to hear that they work well. I love the fact that they don’t move around using those though, I can’t stand crooked prints.
