Today on the blog we have an interview with Bec Owens from Mizzle Babywear. She has been nominated this year for AusMumpreneur Awards  and the Telstra Womens Business Awards. I worked with Bec previously when I have photographed the Mizzle range. The products are lovely!

Who is Mizzle? I understand it is a family business?

Mizzle is a Tasmanian Brand of baby wear, gifts and accessories for newborn to 1 year olds. Family owned, its managed by Bec Owens.

What inspired you start Mizzle?

When I was pregnant with our first son, I found that so many brands were very expensive, I wanted to launch a range that looked and felt great, but was more affordable.

If you had to choose one product (past or present) that has been your favourite, what would it be?

Our baby nighties! They are super soft, cute as and look so gorgeous on. They are also practical and make changing nappies during the night super easy… my boys loved theirs!

Where does the name Mizzle come from?

Mizzle is actually a nickname my husband had for me! We wanted our brand name to be non specific, and not a cutesy baby name… so Mizzle it was!

How do you describe Mizzle’s style?

Affordable luxury for babies. The colours are soft and modern, the fabrics are soft and luxurious and the whole range is affordable.
