Choosing a photographer for your family can be a hard decision. There are a lot of choices out there but each photographer will have their own style. The best advice I can give you is to look through the photographer’s website to make sure their style will suit your needs.

What type of photography do you specialize in?

I specialize in Newborn, Baby and Maternity photography. I feel these three genres all go hand in hand. A newborn is generally classified as up to 2 weeks old for the purpose of photography. This newborn period is when the sleepy curled up poses are most likely to happen. This doesn’t mean I can’t photograph your baby after 2 weeks, it just means I will be led by your baby on the day as to whether we photograph him/her awake or asleep.

I also love to capture babies as they grow and develop their own personality. When they start sitting on their own is a perfect time. I also offer first birthday sessions including an optional cake smash.

With all of my sessions I encourage parents and siblings to get involved. The most beautiful moments can be captured between a family with their newest addition.

What can we expect at our session?

I like to ensure my studio is a relaxed and comfortable environment, not only for baby but for you as parents also. At a newborn session you can expect to hear soft heartbeat sounds and soothing music played. I’ve had many a parent tell me they felt like having a snooze and a couple that actually have.  You can be rest assured at all times that your baby’s safety is of the utmost importance to me and I have lots of experience in handling, soothing and settling babies. I allow plenty of time for baby to feed as needed before and/or during the session. Baby changing facilities are also provided.

What products do you offer?

The products I offer are very high quality, professionally printed products that will show your photos off in the best possible way. I do offer digital negatives which are included in my packages for you to reprint for family or share online however providing you with gorgeous printed products is what I am passionate about.

My framed prints are my most popular item which are created using high quality materials and are available in a variety of different frames. These are followed by my fine art albums which are printed on museum quality paper with thick luxurious pages, which are fast becoming the must have item to place on a coffee table to share with friends and/or to keep as a special heirloom piece.

I have samples of these products for you to see and touch. We can also discuss the best solution for your home when you are invited back to your tailored in person ordering session approx 1-2 weeks after your session.

What is your photography style?

I tend to use a lot of neutral tones in my work as I love how this allows for the purity and innocence of your baby to really shine. The props I use are generally simple for this reason also. However, I do like to add a splash of colour to my sessions using my various wraps.

I love when parents bring along something special to give their session a personal touch, such as a blanket made by grandma or small soft teddy. Before your session you will be given the opportunity to discuss any specific photos you may like to capture.
