There’s something extra special about welcoming a family back into the studio. Watching them grow, seeing siblings become big brothers or sisters, and being trusted once again to capture such an important chapter is truly an honour.
I had the pleasure of photographing beautiful baby boy Tyler, and it was even more meaningful because I had photographed this family before. Being invited to document another milestone for them is the greatest compliment, and I’m always so grateful for that continued trust.
Tyler was an absolute dream during his newborn session. He settled beautifully and gave us those sweet, sleepy moments that make newborn photography so timeless.
One of my favourite parts of newborn sessions is capturing the connection between siblings, even when it takes a little patience. Tyler’s big brother wasn’t overly keen on having his photo taken at first (which is completely normal!), but with a bit of space, and a few little tricks, we were able to capture some truly gorgeous sibling images in the end.
Sessions like Tyler’s are a great reminder that newborn photography isn’t about perfection. It’s about documenting your family exactly as you are in this fleeting season. The tiny fingers and toes, the sleepy stretches, the new dynamic as a family of four… these are the details you’ll want to remember years from now.
Thank you to this lovely family for allowing me to once again capture such a special time in your lives. It was such a joy to meet Tyler and see your family grow.
If you’re expecting and considering newborn photography, I recommend booking during your second trimester to ensure availability. Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 2–3 weeks after birth, when babies are still sleepy and curly.
Would you like to book a Maternity, Newborn or Milestone Photography session? Don’t forget to book in advance to ensure availability as sessions are limited.
