This one’s a little different. I’ve been moving away from the traditional cake smash for first birthdays and trying something more timeless instead, something that actually captures who this tiny person has become.

Jacob felt like the perfect one to road test it on, because I photographed him as a newborn too. Watching him go from a sleepy little bundle to an adorable, cheeky one year old with so much personality already… it’s exactly why I love this job. This session was an absolute delight from start to finish.
