In this industry there are so many to people who inspire me everyday but I have compiled a list of three people who I admire and who in someway have made a difference to me or the way I do things, and probably without realising it. 1. Angie Baxter At the very beginning of my photography journey I attended one of Angie’s “Love your Camera” workshops. She is a fantastic teacher, a great photographer and such a lovely down to earth person. I admire her family values also. It’s always very clear how much Angie’s family means to her and she manages to juggle the whole mum/business woman thing really… Keep Reading
In the Spotlight…
Today on the blog we have an interview with Bec Owens from Mizzle Babywear. She has been nominated this year for AusMumpreneur Awards and the Telstra Womens Business Awards. I worked with Bec previously when I have photographed the Mizzle range. The products are lovely! Who is Mizzle? I understand it is a family business? Mizzle is a Tasmanian Brand of baby wear, gifts and accessories for newborn to 1 year olds. Family owned, its managed by Bec Owens. What inspired you start Mizzle? When I was pregnant with our first son, I found that so many brands were very expensive, I wanted to launch a range that looked… Keep Reading
How to hang your frames perfectly…
As a photographer I like nothing better than my clients taking away photos to hang on their walls. I would love to see even more of this in the future. After all digital files are not going to be seen when they are sitting in a drawer. I understand digital files are important for sharing with family and archival reasons but who doesn’t want to see their beautiful photos hanging in their home? So you’ve chosen a group of images you’d like to hang together as a wall display but you’re wondering how on earth you are going to make sure they are all straight and hanging where they should… Keep Reading

I generally like to stick to soft neutral colours with the addition of a small amount of Lemon, baby pink and baby blue, and of course purple as it’s my favourite colour. Everyone is different and the colours you purchase will depend on what suits your baby or if you are a photographer it will depend on your individual style. Just like any other thing in life, you generally get what you pay for in most cases (of course there are always exceptions to the rules). A reputable prop seller… Keep Reading

I’ve always been interested in numbers, budgets, spreadsheets etc. I completed Cert III in Financial Services and have worked part time in accounts positions since then. 2. I am a true Virgo.
