It’s stereotypical right, double the babies, double the love. Having just one baby is an absolute blessing that you would have to pinch yourself just to believe that there is two. A moment in time that you can never be fully prepared for. Though an overwhelming time it would be a whirlwind of disbelief and excitement intertwined. Going through life with someone right by your side, literally from the very beginning, is such a special way to start life. A friend for life, a guiding light shining back at you and a lifetime of adventure shared. It was amazing to have little Zylah and Savannah, joined by their proud big… Keep Reading

One of the best things about my job as a Newborn Photographer in the Hobart area, is when I get to watch my tiny Newborn clients as they grow. My Newborn clients have the exclusive option of coming back to the studio for a 6-9 month old sitter session – a smaller session with a smaller cost. It’s perfect for capturing their developing personalities, loads of smiles and any new little tricks they’ve learned such as sitting or rolling! Toby was such a happy little boy at his session, and I loved the comparison shot that we captured to match his Newborn session photo.
I have previously photographed the Mizzle brand and loved working with this gorgeous Tasmanian based clothing line, so I was super excited when new owners Annalee and Julie contacted me about photographing their brand new range. We had some adorable models on the day who looked so gorgeous in the clothing. And the new Mizzle website is looking fantastic. Go and check it out!
I met Katy through photography circles a couple of years ago so I was very honoured when she asked me to capture newborn photos of her new baby girl. Emily was so tiny and a dream to photograph, barely making a peep the whole time. Her big brother and sister were very obliging to having their photos taken. I love the photos we captured of them together. Thanks Katy and Co for allowing me to capture these special photos for you x Peta was recently awarded 2017 AIPP Tasmanian Newborn Photographer of the year. Newborn bookings for 2017 are filling quickly. Please book your session now to avoid disappointment.
Little Jax travelled all the way from Melbourne to Hobart for his photo session. Not by himself of course, he brought along his Mummy and Grandma. By the time he was able to travel he was 8 weeks old and we wondered whether or not he would sleep for any of his photos. Well did he surprise us?! He slept through almost the entire session, only waking at the end to have photos with Mum and Grandma. Here are some favourites from his (older baby) newborn session. Limited Newborn sessions are available for July and August so please book ahead to avoid disappointment. Contact Peta for more information.
Miss Piper is so very lucky to have not one but two big sisters to watch out for her and adore her. Piper was so chilled out for her photos and we even managed to capture a little smile. Peta is an award winning and AIPP Accredited photographer based in Southern Tasmania. Book your April/May newborn session now to avoid disappointment.
There is an exciting new product I want to share with you. I’ve recorded a video so I can tell you all about it, it really is a beautiful product.
This gorgeous family are always a pleasure to photograph. Recently I took some updated photographs of Ivy and Taylam. Beautiful girls in the most beautiful location with beautiful soft light. What more could I ask for?
It was so lovely to have twins in the studio again. Kieran and Callum were so adorable, and so very similar that at times it was hard to pick them from their individual photos. Once again, my lovely friend Amber did a great job assisting to make sure there were enough hands to go around. Here are some favourites from the session; To book your very own custom newborn session, please contact Peta
