I’d heard so much about the new premises of the popular Mother Goose Baby Shop in Kingston that I thought I had to go and see it for myself. The new location is great. It’s so roomy which has allowed them to increase their toy and gift range which is huge! The added space has also made it very easy to browse around the shop even when pushing a pram. The shop is located in the McDonald’s complex so it’s very easy to find (we all know where McDonald’s is right??).

When I walked into the store I was greeted with a smile by Allison who runs the store with her husband Craig. After I took a few photos of the gorgeous shop displays, she was kind enough to answer these few questions for me…

What are your most popular items?

Mocka items are really popular in store as well our traditional wooden toys. We find our customers love to shop for toys that are a little bit different and not mainstream.

What do you love about running Mother Goose Baby Shop?

It’s such a happy place to work. I really enjoyed being pregnant and love spending time with my children so I can relate to my customers. I enjoy sharing their pregnancy/baby experience and find that I build great relationships with them as they share their journey with me.

 Do you offer layby?

Yes we offer 6 month laybys and also have the option of receiving layby payments via direct deposit rather than needing to come to the store every time.

Do you have loyalty programs for your customers?

We have two loyalty programs for our customers with fantastic rewards. One is for smaller frequent purchases and another for those who place large upfront orders or laybys. Ask about these in store for more details.

Do you have a personal favourite item that you stock?

I really love the Tiger Tribe tea sets. They are made from tin which allows for fun with no broken plates!
